There is yet another new arrival at virtual mood board department.
Maybe you heard of it, maybe not. I am telling you any way.
It´s called:
Maybe it´s something you want for your blog, but without PhotoShop it´s hard finding something so easy to use as this.
It´s easy because there not a lot of rules and actions you need to follow or do.
BUT you have to be a little patient in the beginning.
This one up here was easy enough but I tried to make one with labels over each other for color contrast and I failed a few times because I was clicking in the wrong place I guess.
I have send them a contact form question about it but do not have an answer yet.
For : easy and free, the Washi tape alone gets my two thumbs up!
Keep it simple and you have a new feature for you blog to use.
Check it out!
Against : When you try to make it very intricate it gets a little frustrating, but is new, I am sure they are working out the glitches as we speak!
There are few more that I use to avoid the PhotoShop route.
Like Polyvore:
Here is a picture that I liked and I tried to get a more wearable affordable look together.
I love looking trough all the board that people publish and making my own when there is nothing else to do.
You know that time you have left over when your house is clean, wash is ironed, food is ready, nothing on the television and your done with Pinterest….. ;-)
You can share it with every thinkable social media form with just one click, including Blogger.
For : Free. It´s pretty easy to use, there are lots of clothes, backgrounds, colors, frames etc. you can choose from. And you can upload your own.
There is a special PIN button, just like Pinterest has, to save what ever you want in your own Items folder.
Once you use them and publish the board they are free to use for everybody else.
Against : Some of the pictures that you use are not very sharp and clear when you enlarge them. Sharing to Blogger can cause you label cloud to overload with every brand name that you used, so you have to delete them before you publish on your blog or you will have them turning up every so often, even if you delete them after.
Then there is Olio Board
It is there to make mood boards like we all know them, for new color and design ideas for you home.
I do not use it very often because I am not looking for any make over at this point. But for blogging it can be a help to make a collage for a post if you are changing things up at you home and want your readers to know what you're going for.
Here is one I did a long time ago when we were looking for furniture and I wanted my HB to see want I was looking for.
I don´t know about you but I always have a bit of a hard time explaining things to him, so these come in handy.
Our home did not turn out this way AT ALL. But it can help things moving along.
For : Free. It´s easy to use, has a PIN button to upload your own finds on the net. Has different backgrounds etc. You can do 2D or 3D images!
Against : I can´t think of any, but have not used it much lately.
Other tools I use are PicMonkey ( Free, you don´t even have to sign in) for editing and collages, watermarking and I have a MAC…. as my HB calls it : computing for dummies ;-)
He does not understand MAC at all and is always screaming for help if he wants to look something up or needs to print or scan. I rest my case!
I use Iphoto al lot! Almost every image I have on my blog goes trough there and has a little help from the edit tool on there. Photo Bucket, where Blogger saves all my blog photo´s its something I yet have to look into, not sure if I like it. Picasa, frustrates the *peep* out of me!
I thought I´d share this with you because I am always on the look out to avoid using PhotoShop.
( or Gimp!)
I asked a few bloggers out there what they had used to make the visuals on their blog.
Without naming names……very few answered, if any.
Like it´s a BIG secret…It got me a bit frustrated at times, like blogosphere is only for the big money making blogs and the ones who think that PhotoShop is the only thing you can use, to make your blog look professional.
That might be true, but I am not a professional blogger, neither looking to make money with it.
I just want a nice looking visual and play with my ideas in a quick and easy way.
I hope this helped you in your search to easy blogging.
Any questions I am HAPPY to answer!
Let me know if you have found a tool that helped you to create the things that you want for your blog!

What a great overview! Love that you collected the pros and the cons, it makes it easier to choose one. I have never tried any of those tools, but I have been eyeing them a bit in other bloggers' work. Maybe when I have some extra time in the holidays, I will try them out =)
