Today I want to share this little project with you.
Once upon a time I had 2 perfect soap dispensers, but then I knocked one over and it cracked so it would not pump up the soap anymore.
There is a little restaurant where they have these gorgeous water bottles that we go to have dinner sometimes.
I loved them so much that the first one I sneaked out in my handbag….
The next time we went there I was completely obsessed with getting another one and then I noticed on another table they had a BIG one, I changed my order into a big bottle instantly.
This time of course…..I asked in my best Spanish if it was possible to take the bottle with me and what we needed to pay for it…. the waiter looked a bit puzzled but shrug his shoulders and it was free to take home.
The pump of the 2 old dispensers are of a good quality and seemed a waste to through them out so I searched for a way to use them with these bottles and the solution came in the corks that came out of champagne bottles that I had been saving for years.
So with this little you can transform a water bottle
Simply drill a hole in the center of the cork, at the top it needs to be a bit wider because of the shape of the pump.
Cut little pieces off the cork so it will completely into the bottle.
Press the pump into the cork, fill the bottle with the soap you like and press the cork into the bottle.
The good thing about these pumps is that the are just a teeny tiny bit wider then the bottle so it fits nicely!
I made some labels to let everybody know what is what.
I did some embossing on the paper to add a bit of extra interest and gave it a few layers of Modge Podge to protect it from water. But new labels are easily made if needed!
This is how they live on my kitchen counter
I love them!
I wish you ALL an amazing weekend chicas!!
